The 400V/800V EV platforms raise the bar for connectors. Key design concerns include high-voltage insulation and creepage distance, current-carrying capacity and temperature-rise control, high-voltage interlock (HVIL) structures, plus vibration and sealing performance.
Materials typically use PA66+GF or PBT, with silver-plated terminals to reduce contact resistance. Vehicle-level validation requires harsh thermal shock, salt spray and mechanical vibration testing.
JINDA's automotive connector series is IATF16949 certified, with selection and custom development support available.
